OVERVIEW
17C, some cloud, fine. Wind: 5-10 knots until 12 NM then 15-20 knots on the trip to the shelf. 15 knots at shelf. Sea surface temps: 18-19C. Arrived at shelf an hour later than usual time (11:35). Set up 1st drift 1 NM west of the seamount. 2nd drift directly over seamount, drifting ~1NM south. 3rd drift back near 1st drift to the west of the seamount. The 3rd drift being the most productive of the three drifts.
25 common dolphins in two pods, 5 or 6 humpbacks with some breaching and tail slapping action. Slimy mackerel seen as well.
