April can be unpredictable and often trips during this time of year can produce something unexpected. Unfortunately this wasn't going to be one of those trips. The weather was pleasant enough though.
We had very little interest in our offerings on the voyage out. The few Wedge-tailed Shearwaters were slowly replaced by Flesh-footed Shearwaters around halfway out. At the drift we had good numbers of Wilson's Storm-Petrels and added a Black-browed melanophrys "Campbell" Albatross to the mix.
